Description
Some players want feather-light bends up top and some want a low end that fights back — Hybrid Slinky refuses to pick a side. Ernie Ball built this set by pairing skinny .009-.011-.016 plain strings with a chunkier .026-.036-.046 wound set, so you get the effortless string-bending of a lighter gauge alongside the drop-tuned punch of a heavier one.
The wound strings are nickel-plated steel wrapped around a hex-shaped steel core, giving them the grip and snap that lets your fretting hand dig in without fighting the string. The plain strings are specially tempered, tin-plated high carbon steel, keeping the whole set balanced string to string instead of feeling top-heavy or thin.
Grab six sets at once and you’re set for months of restrings — no more scrambling for a fresh pack the night before a gig when your current set finally goes dead and dull on you.
- Gauges: .009 .011 .016 .026 .036 .046
- Nickel plated steel wound over hex-shaped steel core

- 6-pack for less trips back to the shop
Whether you’re chasing lead lines or riding the low strings for riffs, Hybrid Slinky gives your electric a fresh, snappy voice every time you swap sets — and with six in the box, that fresh feel is always just a restring away.
