DR built these phosphor bronze strings around Accurate Core Technology (ACT), a hexagonal core wire process that fills in the microscopic imperfections left over from standard core wire. The result is a string that intonates cleaner, holds pitch better under aggressive strumming, and simply resists going lifeless as fast as ordinary uncoated sets.
Stefan Grossman, who spent three years road-testing this exact construction, says he can now play four full concerts on a single set — a claim that would have sounded absurd for uncoated strings a decade ago. Carl Verheyen, Melissa Etheridge, and Happy Traum have all echoed the same thing: brighter sustain, richer low-end resonance, and a tuning stability that lets you dig in without babysitting your pegs mid-set.
